The 101 North Glover Street building was built in 1908 and has been a landmark in Twisp (formerly Gloversville) for its entire history. Over the years, it has been a mercantile, a grocery store, an antique store, and a home for the local Methow Valley News. Dozens of artists and business people have called this building their own across the century.
Some interesting tidbits:
101 North Glover is the only building in Twisp to have survived the fire of 1924.
The floors are original Douglas fir and have been lovingly refinished.
This building’s historic qualities have been preserved over the years, and now it serves as a memoir to the Methow people’s past, present, and future. Enjoy.
